Hannah has been staying with John while they get rid of some of the really bad things in her childhood home. John doesn't know what to think of Hannah some of the time because he had known about her being a Blue Lantern. He had respected that because he knew she had been giving up so much for that.
Then he found out about the homeless shelter. She was working late cooking for the next day when he found her. She hadn't even seen him when she backed up. She blinked and smiled a bit.
"Oh hello John!"
He tries to brush his suit off because it's covered in flour much like her own clothing. She blinks at him then sets aside the batch of biscuits and starts trying to help. John really isn't used to her being in his space like this and her touching him makes him a bit uncomfortable because she's just so damn innocent about it.
"It's fine."
Hannah blinks up t him again puzzled by his reaction. "Of course it is John.... Is it very late?"
He raises his eyebrows at her. It's nearly three am.
"Oh! Can I just finish this last batch," she asks scrambling to get them in not even noticing him for a moment. John just rolls his eyes a bit at how she forgets everything when working but pulls a stool over and watches her flit about the kitchen. She's sort of cute when she works. Like a blue humming bird.
