Blue Lantern Hannah Flowers (Original Character)

"Wanda!" Hannah grins holding up a very nice looking coat. It is red with lovely black trim. It looks like something Wanda could wear while dressing up.

"What about this with that dress we found," Hannah asks brightly. Wanda had found a very nice black dress she had gotten. They have to go to a party later this month and are helping each other get ready. Wanda touches the fabric of the coat. It's so soft and smooth looking. She loves it.

"I.... oh wow this is nice," she mutters then slides her gaze back to Hannah. Innocently the Blue Lantern had been avoiding dresses. Wanda takes the coat then smirks.

"Well now we have to find something for you Hanners."

Hannah blinks up at Wanda innocently. "I have no idea what you mean."

There are things that happen that shape a person. Three weeks ago something terrible happened. A war broke out in a country that had almost nothing. One of the five missionary camps has been taken over by a war lord. There was so much violence at first. The priest who had been running the camp is dead and the people trapped here should be scared. They have been penned off and are being used to keep the armies away from the war lord while he makes plans.

But there is still hope. Hannah knows that someone will do something. After the first few days of violence things calmed down and so she sees hope that they will make it through this. She reads from her bible to people who need to hear the scripture for comfort. She prays for the people who are afraid giving them hope in her rather simple but very pure faith that they will survive this.

She tends to the sick who are still here and is gentle with them.

She prays that the soldiers keep their word that the children will not be harmed. She hopes that the war lord sees that his goals are not right and that power is not worth the cost of so many frightened people. She also hopes that her prayers are answered and someone stops this before more people die through violence.

It is late in the evening just before the sun goes down when she senses a change in the air.

Physical description (face, build, weight): Hannah has short dark brown hair, bright blue eyes and a very slim build. She stands about average for a human American female. She also hair very fair clear skin.

To be noted she also dresses almost unfashionably to be modest and trues to avoid indulging in nicer looking clothing.

Abilities:

Blue Lantern Ring: While running solo all Hannah can do is fly and shield herself with a protective aura. She can also negatively affect rings running at the opposite end of the emotion spectrum.

With a Green Lantern near by she has a host of other powers. She can heal others for one. She can also make blue constructs so long as she has a green 'partner'. She can also 'super charge' a green lantern ring.

Self:

Hannah herself is a source of calm in a storm. She has extensively studied theology and finds strength in her faith using it to help calm other people down without making them feel judged.

Ironically for someone who wanted to become a nun to help other people Hannah is well trained in self defense by a former Marine so while she may not like to fight she still can.


Weaknesses and flaws:

Hannah is naive about the world around her as she was cloistered away between both where she studied to become a nun and Odym where she was trained as a Blue Lantern. Because of this she is just very quick to trust people at their word.

She is also very shy and awkward with people simply because she doesn't know how to act since she's spent so much time isolated from them.

Backstory:

Hannah Flowers found herself sent to live with her God Mother when she was six years old. Her father had killed her mother thinking she had cheated on her with another man. At the time the older Nun had no idea what to do with the frightened child of her oldest friend but they grew to be something very much like a family. Hannah grew up under strict rules but learned to be compassionate to all people and to do her best for everyone believing that they are all deserving of God's love.

When she wanted to go on a ministry trip in Africa after her high school graduation her Godmother made her learn self-defense first. She wanted to be sure Hannah would be safe over seas. These skills served her well as a war lord attacked the camp Hannah was in seeking to random the American missionaries for money. She helped keep the women and children calm and as the three weeks passed while they were held prisoner Hannah was able to make them all hope for a rescue that did come their way.

She decided she wished to serve God after that and entered a convent to study to become a nun. For a full year she thought nothing would change until a Blue Lantern came to her about what happened on her missionary trip. It took a great deal of talking before she decided that she would do that.

It has been nearly three years since she left Earth and now she is ready for her first assignment to assist the Green Lantern of Earth's sector in any way he needs and to do what she can to help everyone else.

She has also discovered upon trying to reestablish herself that she has been offered a homeless shelter to run in Bludhaven. She doesn't know who is funding it but has no time to look into it as so many need her help.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?:
After she has finished checking over the homeless shelter I'd like her to get in touch with the League as she has no other way to contact the current Green Lantern, Keith Queen.

What are you planning to do with this character?
She's going to have lots of non-ring shenanigans with her homeless shelter and trying to make a positive impact in the area of the city she is in.

I also want her very subdued personality to make waves by simply being SO nice to everyone in the League.

What do you want to see happen with this character?:

Go on guys, push her buttons. Mostly though I want her involved in JLA plots as a kind of support character because she's too nice to be a heavy hitter.
